Honeymoon Island

Honeymoon Island is amazing! We had so much fun there and I think it might have moved into our top spot for our favorite beach so far near Tampa. We love Clearwater, but it is just so touristy and crowded! Half of the Island was a seashell beach covered with seashells. We found so many big ones and had a blast searching for them. I don't know what it is about seashell hunting, but I could do it all day long. I love it! We also saw tons of dolphins on that side of the Island.  They were right up by all of the boats and I was so jealous of the kayakers out there. The dolphins were literally right next to them. That would be so awesome!
Lots of seashells! We found so many good big ones that weren't broken!!!

I didn't take too many pictures on the other side of the Island but it is just a white, soft sand beach that is perfect for sandcastles.  In the afternoon, the low tide made this little sand bar out in the middle of the water so you could literally walk out and sit out there. It was really fun and nice that the water was shallow so far out that Brayden could walk out by himself. The major bonus of the day was we got Tyler to fall asleep under the umbrella! Then we could all really relax which is what you want on the beach! We made sandcastles, read books, took naps, played in the water and came home with buckets of seashells. It was a pretty close to the perfect day, if you ask me :) Next time we just need to remember to bring our kite!
