BB the Prankster

Brayden finds great joy in trying to play little jokes on us. He came over to me today cracking up at what he just did with all those race cars Guy picked up for him last week. He could hardly even tell me what he did because he was SO excited about it.

"I just hid almost all of my cars in all of Dad's stuff.  I put some in ALL his shoes, his work bag, TONS in his pillow AND even in his bike helmet! And he doesn't even know!"

He thinks doing this is the funniest trick in the world and I have to admit it did make me laugh when Guy put on his running shoes tonight and found a few. And then again when he laid on the bed and found like 20 in his pillow. And I'm sure it will still be funny when he wakes up tomorrow and puts on his work shoes in the morning and finds some more.  Nice work Brayden....I'm sure next time Guy will think twice about buying SO many cars! :)

Cell Phone Pics

Well my 2 year plan is up on my phone, which means at some point I get to go pick out a new one (Yay). So since I have never downloaded any of the pics since I got it, I decided I better see what I had on there. SO many pictures to choose from, but these were some of my favorites. Of course, all of Brayden and Ty from over the last 2 years. Wow they sure have grown!
Good Times :)

Growth Chart

Ever since Brayden was little I always wanted a growth chart for him. I remember when I was younger seeing the wall at my Aunt's house, where they marked every year how tall they all were. I loved the idea!  Since that is definitely not an option for us since who knows when we'll settle down, I wanted one we could just take with us. And it was my plan all along to just make one, because really it wouldn't be too hard, but I just never got around to it. So when I saw one a few months ago that was on sale and wasn't all cutesy, I decided to break down and just buy it.  And I'm so glad I did!
I have all my kids heights from their doctor checkups each year so we marked those on there and then they both got measured on their birthdays to see how tall they are this year.  It was fun to watch how excited they were to see how much they had grown. I can totally remember that as a kid.  You felt so cool when someone said you looked bigger! Brayden is funny because he thought you automatically just grew on your birthday so he was a little disappointed when he turned 5 and he wasn't any taller then the day before. I also remember thinking that! Anyways, I am excited we can add this to our birthday traditions now. I love starting new ones and how excited the kids get remembering them every year....it's definitely the fun part of being a mom! :)

Happy News

Well since I am finally about caught up on the blog (Phew), we have some happy news to share. And I'm sure after saying that, everyone has already guessed what it is. So yes, Baby #3 is on the way!!!!  We are pretty excited about it and just can't wait for the beginning of November to get here already.
This is our baby at my 9 week ultrasound.
I'm about 16 weeks this week and finally starting to feel better. This has been my first pregnancy where I've really had to deal with morning sickness and wow, it really knocked me out. Brayden and Tyler loved it cause they could watch endless cartoons and do whatever they wanted while I pretty much lived on the couch. So I'm pretty happy to say goodbye to that now that I'm in the 2nd trimester and feeling a bit better. Now I just need to get my thyroid under control. It's my first time having to deal with that during a pregnancy too and it's been a struggle so far.

This will also be my first time being really pregnant over the summer. Boy oh boy, I can already tell it is going to be rough. Why is Florida so stinkin' HOT already!  Dallas definitely was too, but it just feels worse here since it's tropical maybe? I'm hoping I can survive it!!!

Other then that, things are good and we are just counting down the weeks. I just started feeling the baby move this last week, which is definitely my favorite part. It makes it really seem real and not like I'm just eating way too much junk food and getting fat. And wow, maybe it's because this is baby #3, but I am definitely showing so much sooner. With both my boys I could pretty much hide it the whole first half of my pregnancy, but this time around I feel like it started as soon as I found out I was pregnant.  By the end of the summer, people really are going to wonder if a huge whale just washed up on the beach when we go! Haha, not really looking forward to that so much!!!

We have our ultrasound in a few weeks to see if we're having a boy or girl, which is definitely an exciting day. Of course, I'd love to see what having a girl is like, but I would love another boy to complete my 3 musketeers. That would sure be easier on the budget too. So either way, we're going to be happy! We've also debated about being old fashioned and not finding out, but I'm not sure I have the strength in the moment to say that I don't want to know! We'll see what happens when the time comes, but right now we are just feeling blessed to have our family grow. Life is so good :)
This is how we told my family the good news when they came to Florida for spring break  :)

P.S. Happy Birthday today to my Dad! Love ya Pops!

Weekend Fun

We had a pretty fun, low key weekend. On Saturday we woke up early and did our usual Saturday morning garage sales.  I should really do a post on all the cool stuff we've been finding. Guy found this set of over 100 real race cars for Brayden for $5. Guy makes me laugh because he gets so excited when he finds stuff like this that he can't wait to give it to him. I keep telling him we should save things like this for Christmas or birthdays, but he can't wait that long! Brayden, of course, is in heaven and even found the Daytona 500 car in the mix.  He recognized the logo from our trip there awhile ago. I'm not sure what we're going to do with so many cars around here but both Brayden and Guy inform me these are different from hot wheels cars. Much cooler!
After garage sales I had an eye appointment, which was not so fun, but afterwards we went out and did a little Florida exploring, which is always fun :)

We drove past Clearwater to St. Petersburg and to a beach called Treasure Island, that we heard was cool.  We didn't stay very long, but the boys seemed to like it.  Treasure Island was not that great compared to some other beaches we've been to so we probably won't be ever go back. But the funny part was Brayden was convinced there really was treasure there since it had to called Treasure Island for a reason. He spent the whole time following trails and digging for gold and jewels.  He was disappointed he couldn't find any but we did find a shark tooth, which is a treasure to us!
This is his treasure hole that Guy helped him with. It got pretty deep  by the end!
After the beach we drove over the Skyway bridge which was really cool.  It's really a pretty stunning bridge in person.
And I just thought these were cute. Here are the boys working on their pull ups....or more like their hanging like a monkey skills! It's sad, but I look just like them when I attempt a pull up :)
