He's 2!

It's official... Brayden is 2 years old! His birthday was on May 13 and we celebrated with a big Thomas the train party. First of all I just have to say that I am still in shock that he is 2. I tortured myself and brought out the baby album on his birthday and looked at all his little newborn pictures. I seriously can't believe that 2 years have gone by. It just goes way too fast! But I am loving the stage we are in right now with lots of hugs and kisses and hilarious moments. It's the best!!
So... on his birthday I decided to start out the day with a trip down to dallas to have lunch with Guy. And I thought why not take the dart down there and pretend its a train since Brayden's into trains right now. Seemed like a great idea. So we get on there only to have this scary and somewhat homeless guy sit right in front of us and face us the whole time. Needless to say, I was scared to death! He sang me love songs and repeated over and over how he wished he just had $2.50 for a nice big mac and fries. The missing teeth and droopy eye didn't help matters as well as the fact that I was the only girl on the thing. I was so afraid he was going to get off at our stop and follow me! So when Guy came to pick us up he took one look me and said "i'll drive you guys home." So that didn't go quite as I had pictured it going but we did have some good pizza at costco and Brayden loved it. So I guess it was a success...
Later on we had family over for the big party! My grandma was in town visiting so it was such a treat to have her here for his birthday! I literally bought all the thomas the train decorations from the party store ( I am such a sucker) and so we decorated the place in thomas style. We ate pizza and Brayden was able to blow out his candles on his cake... a few times. He got lots of fun presents which he's played with non stop since.

Blowing out the candles... a few times! :)
Takin a ride on his "choo choo train." We made tracks with tape on our floor!

The other day Brayden wouldn't let me get him dressed after taking a bath because he wanted to wear this towel. So he paraded around in it until he peed on the floor and I decided a diaper was a must. Notice our ghetto bedroom with 4 mattresses stacked up. I hate apartment living and no space!

I found Brayden in his play fort with the bag of doritos just stuffing his face with them. No wonder he was quiet for so long!

I love you Elise!!

I was able to run into my good friend Elise from high school when I was in Ohio. I haven't seen her for a few years so that was a fun surprise. She lives in Idaho now and was visiting her family in Ohio at the same time... what are the odds of that! Here we are at Buckeye Corner buying up some ohio state stuff. Can you believe this brutus buckeye stuffed thing cost $500?? Now I'm a huge buckeye fan, but I could never pay that much! :)
We ordered this pizza thinking we could eat the whole thing and each only had 1 piece. It was huge...where was Guy when I needed him!! :)

Home to Ohio

I spent the last two weeks visiting my family in Ohio and enjoying every minute of it! Brayden and I really had a great time and were able to be there for a lot of fun things! My sister Kelly had a birthday which was nice to be there for and we also had a little mini early birthday party for Brayden and my brother Kyle whose birthdays are in May. Brayden definately understands blowing out the candles this year and we ended up doing it 3 times because after he had blown them out he would say "lets do it again" and then start singing happy birthday! We'll see how many times we decide to let him do it on his actual b-day! :) We went to the Columbus Zoo twice which is the best zoo. Brayden loved brushing the goats and even decided that he should brush all the rocks there too. Lovely! We went to chuckie cheese one day and dave and busters which was fun. Spent some time down by the scioto river to feed the ducks and geese only to find that they had a big sign up saying you weren't allowed to feed them anymore. But we decided to anyway! I seriously grew up with my grandparents taking us to the river to feed the ducks all the time so I have to let my son experience it there, right! It was a great trip and Brayden became so attatched to everyone there that saying goodbye was hard. (Thanks Guy for letting us go so long... it was a great birthday present!)

Brushing the goats was so much fun!

My little brother Kyle's first game as a pitcher! He did so awesome! :)

Brayden loved Kyle's pinewood derby!
But we did!
