Bubble Man, Sandcastle Practice, & MOVING!

Found these two having some fun in the sink the other day making bubbles out of hand soap. They were cracking Guy and I up with all the silly things they were doing with those bubbles. Funny boys! "Just call me BUBBLE MAN, ok Mom!" Or Santa. And yes, Ty is eating the bubbles in the back :)
Ty was loving this crazy straw drink on a hot day. I don't think he came up for air until it was gone! It is seriously way too hot here right now so we made our way to Lake Ray Roberts to cool off...or at least try to!
On our way we spotted this and thought it was funny since we call Brayden BB
He, of course, had to show off his muscles!
I wish we had discovered this place sooner because it was not too far away and we really had so much fun there. It had a nice beach with sand to play in by the lake and the boys had a blast!
Some good sandcastle practice for the "real" beaches we'll be playing in soon. I can't wait!
Ty chilling after a hard days work
On our way home we spotted something going on, so we got off the freeway to investigate. It was a big car show thing and they had some fun things to see. BB was excited to sit in here.
And ring the liberty bell to support our troops
This was my favorite...A PINK firetruck! With a pink firefighter suit even!

But sadly the fun is over...the rest of August is just crazy. My head is spinning just thinking about it!

Guy's company flies us out next week to scope out Florida and try to find an area/place we want to live. Please let us find a place because it is stressing me out big time!

And the end of the month we are heading to Oregon real quick for a family reunion with Guy's family and we're running the Hood to Coast Relay with them. We have to completely move out of our apartment before we go and then after Oregon, we immediately drive to Florida and (fingers crossed) will have a place to move into.

Phew, so in between all of this craziness, on my few "empty days," we will be organizing, packing, gathering doc records, saying our goodbyes, cleaning, and basically just going crazy. I tell you, this is tough to do with 2 kids. If I survive the move and drive to Florida without losing my mind it will be a real miracle! So wish us luck and goodbye blog for awhile. I just don't have time to keep it up right now, but I will update once we are settled in Florida and starting our new adventure. I am excited to become a Floridian soon...it's just so fun to say! :)

Texas I will miss you though....it's gonna be really hard to leave :(

Fun Times with Grandpa Hill

Grandpa Hill came all the way from Oregon to stay with the boys while I went on my cruise and I can't say thank you enough to him! They all had a really fun boy's only week while I was enjoying my girl time and it was fun to hear all the fun things they did while I was away. Here's a few highlights of what they were up to...

Played some Mini Golf
This one makes me laugh! It looks like Grandpa and BB are looking for the golf ball and Ty is holding it and laughing! :)
Watched a Movie at the Drive in
Visited the Children's Hospital Daddy helped build
Saw the Dallas Temple Ate some Yummy Food
At least they got some fruit in there :)
LOTS and LOTS of Swimming
Took a Tour of the U.S. Money Mint in Fort Worth
I guess Fort Worth is the only other location, besides Washington D.C., where U.S. paper money is printed. They got to see 32 million dollars being printed on just one palette. Pretty crazy! Watched Friday night Fireworks in Grapevine
They also played with lots of toys every day, went to the park in the mornings and went on a daily RaceTrac run to get their free slushies! Phew, it sounds like they were pretty busy and they had a blast! I think they are pretty lucky kiddos to have such an awesome Grandpa! :)
Thank you a million billion for coming and taking care of the boys while I was gone. They had SO much fun and it was so nice to relax for a week and know they were in good hands. And thank you for the daily notebook journal you kept so I could read all about your adventures. I loved it!!! We are getting excited to come and see you guys and the rest of the family soon! Thanks again for EVERYTHING!!!!

SNOW in TX and Valentines Day

SNOW in TEXAS! I know, its crazy huh! This happened a little over a week ago here (Feb. 11) and it was so fun! Texas never gets snow like this and it ended up being 12.5 inches total which broke all the records for the most snow ever at one time. It was SO pretty and it was fun because everyone was out enjoying it. It seems like every yard had a snowman in it! :) I love snow but I hate when it sticks around forever so it was the perfect kind of snowfall. It snowed all day thursday, stuck around friday, and then by late Saturday morning it had all melted. The crazy thing is we are maybe going to get a little more snow this week on tuesday! If it snows only 2 more inches it will be the most snow ever in a winter in Dallas. I'm telling you, this has been a crazy winter here.
Guy and Brayden building a snowman
Brayden could have played out there forever if we let him. He loved it!
And then we had snow inside too! My mom sent Ty's birthday present in a box with all these packing peanuts and the boys both had fun pretending it was snow
Brayden busted out his bulldozers and had fun putting them to work
And then when they were all done with the snow, guess who had to clean it all up?? We gave Tyler Brayden's old bike for his birthday...I know, we're cheap but I figured it was new to him so it worked! The boys had fun taking turns pushing and riding on it.
I'm hoping Tyler will figure out walking by pushing this around. My back is breaking!
I love Tyler's face in this one.
He screams every time Brayden pushes him forward really fast and it makes us laugh every time!
Tyler has discovered how much fun it is to unroll the toilet paper
Every child has to do it, right!
And finally, here's a few pics from our Valentines Day.
We had 9:00 church so it was kind of rushed but still a fun morning. We hung hearts with things we love about Brayden hanging from his door for when he woke up
And since the boys share a room, Ty got the hearts on his crib
I made a trip to the dollar store to make little heart baskets with surprises in them for the boys. Seriously, I love the dollar store by our house...it really has some good stuff! They were pretty excited about it which made me happy :) I LOVE my boys!
