Halloween 2013

We went for easy costumes this year...one's we already had. So my boys were all 3 pirates and they looked so cute together. We took a few pictures in the front yard before we took the boys around our block for candy. After we went to a friends house for a yummy dinner and all the dad's took the kids trick or treating around the neighborhood and the mom's (plus Ryan) hung out and passed out candy. It was a good trade off :)
Ty's pumpkin is the one sitting next to him

BB with his pumpkin. He put toothpicks in the mouth for some sharp and scary teeth
Trick or Treat! What a great halloween :)

Halloween School Parade

We went to the elementary school to watch Brady in the Halloween parade. It was so fun to see all the kids in different costumes.  Brady was a pirate this year and he had a little pet parrot on his shoulder that was the hit in his classroom apparently. BB told me that everyone would come to his desk and try to feed it and make it talk.
Brady's teacher, Mrs. Cundy, dressed up as a flower :)
I helped in his classroom after with the class halloween party. It went really well and it was fun to see him interact with all of his friends. Between the class party, Halloween, and Ryan's Birthday it sure was a crazy day! I think I'm going to need some time to recover!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We try to go to a pumpkin patch every year in October. I think we started the tradition when we lived in Texas and Florida since the weather there never felt like fall.  The boys always look forward to it and even though we went really late in the month, we still managed to fit it in before Halloween!
My cute skeleton pumpkin. Love that grin!
Sadly because we went so late in the month, lots of pumpkins were rotting in the fields so it was hard to find good ones. We ended up just buying our pumpkins after at Walmart! But we still had fun at the patch and the boys loved inspecting all the gross pumpkins. Boys will be boys!

Wrestling in the bounce house. That's a familiar sight around here!

Spooky Dinner, Pumpkins, and Beach Sunsets

We had a great Halloween filled weekend. The boys had some fun at a little festival they had going on in our neighborhood.
Brayden, for some reason, told his whole kindergarten class that he was having a halloween party this year at his house.  Ya, he forgot to mention that to me before telling them...kids are so funny! Not really in my plans being soo pregnant, but we compromised and had a little family one. We had a spooky dinner with mummy hot dogs, bones and blood breadsticks, pumpkin applesauce (just dyed orange with food coloring), and frankenstein pudding. Not very fancy or filling, but the kids really liked it. I take no credit for these ideas...all from pintrest, gotta love it!
The boys made skeletons out of Q-tips for a craft. Tyler's is the top one and Brayden did the bottom one.
We carved our pumpkins for the year
Pumpkin guts...love Brayden's face in this one
Silly Brayden scooped his out one seed at a time...Guy eventually helped him out so we could finally start carving!
The boys had fun drawing on them first with markers
Here they are all done! We made a baby one for the new baby coming soon :)
And we decided to end our weekend by heading to the beach on Sunday night to watch the sunset. It was gorgeous, like always.  Super windy by the ocean so Tyler wouldn't get out from under the towel on my lap, but Brayden had fun running around with Guy.  We don't really get the changing colors of fall leaves here, but at least we get to see the colors in the sky, right? :) The perfect weather time of year in Florida is finally beginning and I love it!
And I figured I better post a picture from the weekend to prove I actually am pregnant and about to pop. I felt really dorky posing by myself so I made the kids join me. Hopefully this baby will be here soon (3 cm and 75% at 38 weeks, so I'm hoping!) But I want a November baby for the birthday since it's 11/11 this year...wouldn't 11/11/11 be such a cool birthday? Past my due date, but I could settle for the 1st. Just not Halloween please!!! :)
