I love you Elise!!

I was able to run into my good friend Elise from high school when I was in Ohio. I haven't seen her for a few years so that was a fun surprise. She lives in Idaho now and was visiting her family in Ohio at the same time... what are the odds of that! Here we are at Buckeye Corner buying up some ohio state stuff. Can you believe this brutus buckeye stuffed thing cost $500?? Now I'm a huge buckeye fan, but I could never pay that much! :)
We ordered this pizza thinking we could eat the whole thing and each only had 1 piece. It was huge...where was Guy when I needed him!! :)

Home to Ohio

I spent the last two weeks visiting my family in Ohio and enjoying every minute of it! Brayden and I really had a great time and were able to be there for a lot of fun things! My sister Kelly had a birthday which was nice to be there for and we also had a little mini early birthday party for Brayden and my brother Kyle whose birthdays are in May. Brayden definately understands blowing out the candles this year and we ended up doing it 3 times because after he had blown them out he would say "lets do it again" and then start singing happy birthday! We'll see how many times we decide to let him do it on his actual b-day! :) We went to the Columbus Zoo twice which is the best zoo. Brayden loved brushing the goats and even decided that he should brush all the rocks there too. Lovely! We went to chuckie cheese one day and dave and busters which was fun. Spent some time down by the scioto river to feed the ducks and geese only to find that they had a big sign up saying you weren't allowed to feed them anymore. But we decided to anyway! I seriously grew up with my grandparents taking us to the river to feed the ducks all the time so I have to let my son experience it there, right! It was a great trip and Brayden became so attatched to everyone there that saying goodbye was hard. (Thanks Guy for letting us go so long... it was a great birthday present!)

Brushing the goats was so much fun!

My little brother Kyle's first game as a pitcher! He did so awesome! :)

Brayden loved Kyle's pinewood derby!
But we did!

CAMPING

We went on our first camping trip in Texas this weekend! We went with Mark, Stacy, and Ellie and had a blast! It was both Ellie and BB's first time going so they had tons of fun together gettin good and dirty! I have to say the best part was the freaky 3-D hand thing with the lightsticks (Stacy you will be the only one to understand this... had to be there I think!!) I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! I'll never be able to look at those the same!! :) We roasted hot dogs and of course made some yummy smores! All in all, had a great time! Hopefully this is our first of many camping trips before it gets too hot!!

Tryin out our new tent...nothing like being surrounded by rv's!!

According to Brayden, our tent was called a "fort"

Best part of camping... getting dirty! Kids loved playing in the dirt and sand. So fun :)

Tubes in, Adnoids out

BB and mommy watchin cartoons before surgery

Today we took Brayden to the hospital for his surgery. He needed tubes in his ears and his adnoids removed. Basically the poor kid has had non stop ear infections since before Christmas! Brayden did so well and was so brave... I think I was worse than him. It was hard to see him being put to sleep with iv's in his arm. We were able to come home right after which was nice. The doctor said that he had to use an adult syringe to get out all of the infection and blood built up in his ears and with all that he had been going around with about 40% hearing loss... like he had cotton balls in his ears. So maybe now he'll acutally listen when I call him! :) j/k His adnoids were also larger than they should have been so its good those are gone too. Gosh I am just so grateful for modern medicine! And I'm also grateful we were just at the hospital for tubes today. I can't imagine being there for a child with cancer or something like that. I feel very blessed to have a healthy boy!! We sure love him!

Brayden took baby simba as his comfort toy for surgery and we found simba dressed just like him after. We had such great nurses.... So cute!!
*Also, THANK YOU Stacy and Ellie for bringing over the balloon, card, and book for BB. It was so thoughtful and it made our day!! :)
