"Olympic" Car Sighting

Yesterday as we were leaving the gym and walking back to the car, Brayden spotted the audi logo on the car parked next to us. He got so excited and said "Mom LOOK, that car is here from the Olympics!!! Do you think its Shaun White's car??" haha, I had no idea he even knew the rings were the symbol for the olympics. Guess we've watched a lot of Olympics over here for him to pick up on that! He absolutely loves Shaun White and Apolo Ohno, except he pronounces his name "Apolio" which makes me smile every time. It's SO cute!

We have been loving the Olympics so far and I am getting kinda sad they are almost over. They have been so much fun to watch! But I've decided its a good thing they only happen every 2 years because I have spent way too much time watching them...I really need to get my life back and do more then just watch tv! :)

SNOW in TX and Valentines Day

SNOW in TEXAS! I know, its crazy huh! This happened a little over a week ago here (Feb. 11) and it was so fun! Texas never gets snow like this and it ended up being 12.5 inches total which broke all the records for the most snow ever at one time. It was SO pretty and it was fun because everyone was out enjoying it. It seems like every yard had a snowman in it! :) I love snow but I hate when it sticks around forever so it was the perfect kind of snowfall. It snowed all day thursday, stuck around friday, and then by late Saturday morning it had all melted. The crazy thing is we are maybe going to get a little more snow this week on tuesday! If it snows only 2 more inches it will be the most snow ever in a winter in Dallas. I'm telling you, this has been a crazy winter here.
Guy and Brayden building a snowman
Brayden could have played out there forever if we let him. He loved it!
And then we had snow inside too! My mom sent Ty's birthday present in a box with all these packing peanuts and the boys both had fun pretending it was snow
Brayden busted out his bulldozers and had fun putting them to work
And then when they were all done with the snow, guess who had to clean it all up?? We gave Tyler Brayden's old bike for his birthday...I know, we're cheap but I figured it was new to him so it worked! The boys had fun taking turns pushing and riding on it.
I'm hoping Tyler will figure out walking by pushing this around. My back is breaking!
I love Tyler's face in this one.
He screams every time Brayden pushes him forward really fast and it makes us laugh every time!
Tyler has discovered how much fun it is to unroll the toilet paper
Every child has to do it, right!
And finally, here's a few pics from our Valentines Day.
We had 9:00 church so it was kind of rushed but still a fun morning. We hung hearts with things we love about Brayden hanging from his door for when he woke up
And since the boys share a room, Ty got the hearts on his crib
I made a trip to the dollar store to make little heart baskets with surprises in them for the boys. Seriously, I love the dollar store by our house...it really has some good stuff! They were pretty excited about it which made me happy :) I LOVE my boys!

First Birthday Experience

Ty had a fun 1st birthday...I'm pretty sure he had no idea what was going on but once I set his birthday cake on his tray, he was pretty happy about it!
We ate our little cupcakes while Tyler had his HUGE one! Thanks Ashlie for the fun idea! :)
Here is the end result from digging into that cake, but I'll show you how how it all went down...
We started out here waiting for cake in the high chair all nice and clean.
I'm glad I remembered to take off his clothes!
We sang him Happy Birthday and BB helped him out with blowing out the candles
And then he was off! He started out taking tastes of frosting a fingerful at a time
And then he started to just dig in
He really ate way more frosting then cake
And when he started using it as a body lotion and hair product I finally cut him off.
He hardly made a dent in that huge cupcake, but he sure loved it!
Before the cake and all that messiness, he opened a few presents
He loves books so we had to read his new ones right away!
So there you have it...Tyler's 1st Birthday!
I still can't believe he's one and I'm sure by the time I'm used to the idea, he'll be two! :)
They grow up way too fast!
