Potty Training

I have been off and on potty training Brayden for the last little while. I figure I'll get serious about it after this baby comes I think. So today I decided to let him run around in underwear just cause we were home all day and I figured I could handle it. Anyways, I came upstairs and found him "potty training" all of his stuffed animals in his play room. It was hilarious! He had them all wearing his underwear and waiting in a line to use his little potty. I tried to spy on him as long as I could but he eventually saw me. I have to say the highlight was watching Brayden put elmo in the corner into time out. I guess Elmo was hitting his friends in line because he didn't want to go potty and wanted to wear a diaper still. Sounds a bit familiar I'd say! :) We had to eventually put an end to this game for 2 reasons:

1) He kept having accidents (which is to be expected), but his reason why he didn't even try to sit on his potty was because someone else was using it!

2) Some of the animals decided it was time to use the "big" potty and fell in so I walked into a bathroom full of soggy, toliet water drenched stuffed animals. Gross. We're doing a load of animals in the washer right now!

Valentines

Since I am due around Valentine's Day, we have been busy doing all our Valentines stuff a little early this year just so we can fit it all in! Brayden loves doing "projects" (as he calls them), so he loved working on his valentines and I loved how long they kept him busy! We'll start putting them in the mail next week! What's been going on...

Thought I would just give a quick update on what we've been up to around here...

We finally got another car!!! We found a Nissan Sentra that will be Guy's car now! We looked ALL day 2 Saturdays ago and finally the last place we went, we found the car and it was just what we were looking for! Brayden and I are SO excited to have our freedom back and to be a 2 car family again! We only have a little bit of "us" time left before this baby comes and I turn into a walking zombie from all the sleepless nights, so we've got lots to do! :)

In other news, I turned 24 on January 6. It was a nice low key birthday...but those are the best kinds I've decided! Guy and Brayden spoiled me rotten with gifts! I sure love you guys! They even managed to make me a cake which was quite humorous to watch, but it was so yummy! They did a great job and it was a good thing I had Brayden here to help me blow out all those candles! Not sure I could have done it alone! Brayden is very excited that he has the next birthday in our family (if you don't count the new baby's) and has already started informing us of what he wants! The list changes daily so we'll see what it actually is in May when he turns 3...yes, he still has a ways to go!

The pregnancy is going good still... I'm getting close and counting down the days! All I can say is if this baby wants to come the end of January instead of waiting until February, I will not complain one bit! :)

This last Saturday we got the chance to go to the Dallas Mavericks vs. Utah Jazz basketball game with people from Guy's work. We got to sit in a box that was catered and even got to ride in a limo to the game! Pretty fancy huh! It was my first time going to an NBA game and riding in a limo... pretty funny that Brayden can say he rode in one at the age of 2!

Computer Problems

Well, my computer is currently experiencing technical difficulties so blogging has been a bit tough. Hopefully we can figure out what's wrong with it soon and it'll be back to normal. So until then, I found this old picture of Brayden on Guy's computer and I couldn't resist posting it. It's from May of 2007 (even though it seems like yesterday!) He used to have this obsession with all my headbands and I would find him wearing them all the time! It was actually pretty funny...He wouldn't keep a hat on his head without a fight, but somehow these headbands could stay on forever! Luckily, to Guy's relief, he grew out of that stage! :)

Anyways, I will update with more recent pictures and news when my computer is all better! Hopefully soon!

BEAT TEXAS!

Tonight is the big game between Ohio State and Texas and even though I'm pretty sure we are going to get beat, we're still cheering for them over here! We just gotta keep it down with all these Texas fans around! :)

Where's BB??

It was unusually quiet around here, which is never a good sign with a 2 1/2 year old! So I decided to see what Brayden was up to and I couldn't find him anywhere! I was starting to get worried and thought he might have escaped outside or something when I saw...

Who knew these baskets were just the right size for him to hide in! I have no idea how long he was in there but he was sure being quiet! I guess I didn't realize we were playing hide and seek! :)
