Quick Trip to Oregon

We had a great time in Oregon this past week. It was so much fun to get to see Guy's family and friends. Sadly, the boys got sick the 2nd night we were there and it continued the rest of the trip! :( I hate how that always seems to happen on vacation. Except usually its Guy that gets sick but this time he lucked out and was the only one to not get it...yet! I bet this is the place where the boys got the virus...play areas are always the culprit, especially ones at the airport. I was so excited when we saw they had this play area since our flight was delayed but now I'm wishing I had kept my boys away. Oh well, it could have just been at the airport or on the plane. Airports are just plain gross! After a long flight with 2 crazy boys we made it to Oregon and the next day we had Guy's parents watch our boys while Guy and I went skiing/snowboarding at Timberline. It was seriously SOOO much fun! We hardly ever leave our kids so it was nice to have some time without them and just be together. I haven't skiied for 5 years but surprisingly I didn't kill myself or break any bones which was a relief!

It snowed the whole time we were up there and was seriously the best snow ever! We had a blast!! We drove to Vancouver WA that night and got some dinner and went to see Alice and Wonderland in 3D at a really cool movie theatre called Cinetopia. It was really good I thought. Then we stayed overnight at a hotel there which was fun. The next day we called Guy's mom and found out the kids had been throwing up all night. SO not fun. I seriously can't thank her enough for dealing with all of that!

Guy's sisters Cindy and Jen and their families and Guy's grandparents all came over on Saturday so it was fun to see all of them. We celebrated Nate's 8th birthday and just hung out and ate some yummy food.

Trying to get a picture of all the kids with their great grandparents...its crazy that this is only half the grandkids!!! We'll have them all together in August. Woohoo! :)

I had to post this one too because we cut out Matt and Evelyn in the picture above.

We also had a lot of fun hanging out with Jay and Heather and their little girl Gwen. They are expecting another one the end of September and we are SO excited for them!!! We missed you Coleman and Amanda but hopefully we'll be able to see you guys soon too!

So the sad part was I got sick the night before we left. I knew it would happen!! Guy and I were both so nervous for the flight home because dealing with throw up on a plane is like my worst nightmare. Luckily the kids both slept most the time and we made it home ok! What a relief!!! So minus all the sickness it was a fun trip and really great to see everybody. We are excited to see the whole family in August when we head back to Oregon to run the Hood to Coast relay with them! It will be awesome!

Now I'm just trying to get unpacked and settled for my sister Kelly to come tomorrow. Brayden offered to let her sleep in his bed while she is here which is funny since he sleeps in a toddler bed. Don't worry Kelly, we won't make you do that! Can't wait to see you tomorrow!!!
