Ohio- Part 1

We had a great time in Ohio and packed in lots of really fun stuff. Our first day there we all went to the Ohio State Fair and had a blast! I haven't been home to go to it in years so I was soooo excited. We seriously went every year growing up so I love it. And I was excited because I knew Brayden would love it...which he did of course. Here we all are checking out the sheep!
Kelly and BB in the sheep barn
Brayden was a little nervous to be by all those sheep all by himself
One of the horse owners let us meet her horse
I thought it was disturbing how all these cows were laying...look at their heads!
in the cow barn
The famous butter sculptures
All carved out of butter! Crazy!
All the boys riding the carousel
Kyle and BB going on a fun ride together
And of course the famous big yellow slide! It used to be the only ride we were allowed to do when I was younger and I remember how "big" it used to seem. Well it still seems big but I can remember it used to seem bigger due to being smaller! :) Brayden loved it and rode it over and over! Here he is with Kel
My dad and I were totally kidding around and held hands going down it at the end
And then we saw the rules sign that said "parents should not hold hands of child" on it and it just made us laugh
BB riding down with Grandma and my brothers
Brayden and I helping paint a mural
He could have done this all day so we had to bribe him to leave it. We didn't come to the fair to paint pictures!
All of us with good ol' smoky the bear! I can remember being amazed when I was younger at how he knew my name...now I know the secret!!
Kyle and Ty (and half of Kelly!)
Playing in some sand with JJ
Best corn on the cob ever!
The boys all riding some spinny monkey ride. I hate these kind!
Brayden feeding a baby cow a carrot
And some sheep
And I loved the baby pigs...they were so cute
BB, Kelly, and Kyle
SO cute!
Here we all are by the big 10 trophy! Go Bucks!
Next day Guy and got up so early to do our long run (still training for this crazy marathon) and then we went out to hocking hills for another good old tradition. Growing up we would always go here with my grandparents and cousins and my grandpa would cook breakfast while we all hung out and looked for crawdads in the stream. Then we would hike to see ash cave and on the way home the car would somehow go out of control and "have" to stop at this ice cream place. I can still remember my grandpa swerving the car all around and telling us that and then getting us all ice cream! I miss him! But the tradition lives on and now my dad cooks breakfast and makes the car go crazy for ice cream! :) Here we all are looking for crawdads
My dad cooking us some breakfast! Best pancakes ever
Me ready to eat! This is why I run so I can eat as many pancakes as I want! :)
Jason and Tyler
Ty drivin the big van
The boys all climbed up the big rock on our hike to ash cave
Ty had to just hang out with daddy...but I'm sure next time we go he'll be up there with the big boys
Sand everywhere...Brayden was in heaven!
This is my scenic shot of what ash cave looks like
My dad and brothers checking out the view
Guy and Ty Ty
a little one-on-one time with Grandpa
Ok this was hilarious...this lady had her 4 dogs all posing for her so she could take their picture. And the crazy part was, that they were actually listening to her. She was like telling them to put their ears up and stuff and they were doing it. It was so funny! My kids don't even listen to me that good!!!
Brayden and his stick...always has to have one!
Jason and Kyle resting after their big climb up there we went to Cedar Point amusement park and had a blast! Seriously the best roller coasters EVER! My parents were awesome and watched my boys so that Guy and I could actually ride some rides for once. We really had a great time!
Kel and Brayden on the carousel
floatin' on a kiddie ride
BB lounging on a ride, haha
Brayden with snoopy
And charlie brown too!
Waiting in line for the cars with Grandpa
And here we all are (minus the parents) with snoopy! It was such a fun day!
So these are the pics from part 1 of the ohio trip...part 2 is after Guy went back to Texas when my parents were on their cruise. I'll try to post those soon! :)

Ok, so I'm laughing even harder now because I just posted about us both taking our kids to the castle park, then I look and see on this post that we both also went to a fair, unfortunately the Ohio State fair hadn't started yet so we were stuck with the smaller but still fun Madison County Fair, and we also went and had breakfast at Hockign Hills adn stopped for ice cream afterwards. It's nice to know that the Hocking Hills Richardson tradition is living on. We had a great Grandpa huh?
