Brayden is 1! I seriously can't believe it cause it seems like he was just born yesterday! Guy and I are just glad that we made it through the first year of being totally clueless about parenting and he's still alive!! :) We had such a fun party! My aunt and uncle came over to help celebrate which we were grateful for. It would be so hard to not have any family here so we're lucky to have them!! Brayden got tons of fun toys which I think overwhelmed him a little on his birthday. We kept taking away the one he just opened and wanted to play with so he could focus on the next one! He had a blue birthday cake, which he of course loved! Right when we finished singing happy birthday the candle fell off the cake and started to set the plastic tablecloth on fire...lovely! It didn't do too much damage though. I think the next time around we'll buy a smaller candle!
Brayden absolutely loves the show Blues Clues right now so we had balloons and decorations to go along with that. He just started walking a day before his birthday so thats been fun. We made such a big deal, yelling and clapping, when he first started walking that now he walks across the room and looks around like "hello, I'm walking here...where's all the noise?" It's so funny! Ellie and Brayden get along really good and had tons of fun playing with all the new toys.

Multiple cakes, a small fire and family. What more could you ask for? On Hannah's first birthday she tried to grab the lit candle and I think she burned her finger a little. Lovely! Wish we could have been there. 1st birthdays are always so much fun to watch.

I'm so glad you are doing this!!! Brayden's birthday sounded like a ton of fun!!! is he a handful now that he is walking? Riley is for sure. You should post pictures of your couch...i sort of saw the chair Guy was sitting in. love and miss you guys tons!!!

oh my gosh hes ssooo cute allison! he looks just like you. and that is soo exciting that he walks now! funny how the littlest things are huge deals to parents. cash started rolling over the other day and im totally convinced hes the smartest and strongest baby ever :-) how are you guys liking texas? hope everythings going great. love you!
