A Visit from my Family

My Mom, Dad and youngest brother Kyle came to play with us for a few days. We loved having them here and managed to squeeze in a lot of fun.  We spent a long weekend in Colorado Springs and had a blast. Our first stop was the Cheyenne Mountain zoo (my absolute favorite) and the shrine above it.

CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN ZOO/SHRINE

The shrine visitors center had the smallest doors...and they looked even smaller next to my 6 foot brother!

Ok and the shrine has the most random artwork on the walls inside it. Obviously my younger brother is super mature...and I am super mature for documenting it :)

But it has a great view from the top so it's worth it. My mom and Brady.

A baby warthog... Not my favorite animal, but I love seeing any baby animals at the zoo!

GARDEN OF THE GODS
We spent some time at Garden of the Gods and went on a little hike there. My boys were in heaven!

 Kyle
Brady managed to climb up the huge rock too and he was pretty proud of himself.

Here's the little rock Ryan chose to climb, he had a blast!

My cute parents on the hike
And Guy carrying all 3 of our boys at the end of it. You can't see Ty, he forced his way into the hiking carrier. Guy is a beast!
 Grandpa with BB and Ty
We found the coolest arcade at Manitou Springs. It has tons of really old arcade games...I mean hundreds of them. We will definitely go back!

MOUNT EVANS

We went  up to Mount Evans which is always awesome. Seriously it is probably one of the most amazing places I have been in Colorado. Every time we have gone up, we have seen mountain goats and I was glad they were out when my family was there.
It was SO cold. Poor Ryan just wanted to be in the car.

I have no idea what is all over his face, but he sure did a good job!
We loved having my family here and all the fun memories we made with them. Thanks for coming!!!

Summer Relaxin'

This is how Ryan would eat breakfast in the morning. Feet out on the deck and waffle in hand.  He's a goof!

And I caught these two snuggling on the couch watching a movie. I'm so glad they have each other :)

Fishing with the Boys

We took the boys fishing on Sunday afternoon at a little lake near our house. They got new fishing poles from their Grandma and Grandpa Richardson so they were anxious to try them out. BB was pretty good actually and he was so determined to catch a fish. Sadly he has little brothers who think it is more fun to throw rocks and sticks in the water so the fish weren't really hanging out by where we were. Maybe next time!

And like all fun days, we usually leave with one in tears. Ryan fell and scraped his nose and that's not even why he was crying. He just didn't want to leave the dirt!
