I didn't take many pictures of our trip which is sad. I just kept forgetting to get the darn camera out, but we had a great time and it was so nice to be able to see everyone. Guy and I were only out there for a short time after the wedding because we spent 5 days in Denver looking for houses while my family watched our boys. Which thanks a million everyone because looking for houses with 3 boys would have been my worst nightmare coming true! I don't know how we would have done it.
So on to our trip....We, of course, had a delay during our layover in Denver on our way to Utah. That is like a death sentence when you have 3 boys who are already difficult to keep entertained on such a long flight. Tampa to Denver to SLC is sooo long. I hate flying and I know it probably sounds ridiculous when I say I think I'd rather drive, but it's true! We are immune to our kids screaming and crying in the car. On the airplane...not so much. Tyler had a drama episode on the flight from Tampa to Denver where he was just was out of control. It's a 4 hour flight so I semi could understand cause I wanted off that plane too, but it was not a pretty 10 minutes. The worst part was we were sitting in the very last row of the plane by the bathrooms, so the whole line up of people waiting to use them just sat and watched as I tried to calm/bribe/threaten my child to be good. It was awesome!
Anyways, during our layover we found this awesome secret in the Denver terminal. We randomly just went up an escalator and there was this whole huge empty floor with nothing up there except for some offices. Honestly it was amazing because our boys could just run around and blow off steam and we didn't have to worry about disturbing anyone. We spread out and just chilled and it was awesome. So if you ever have a layover in Denver look for the escalators by the food court (under the giant hanging plane) and go up them. It's a happy place up there :)
I only took a few pictures from Kel's wedding
Haha another photo of BB and Kelly...
you can tell he is our only child that cooperates!
We went on a short hike up the canyon by my parents house the day after the wedding and it was soo gorgeous. I was honestly amazed by the mountains since it's been a long time since I've seen any. Utah really is a pretty state and it's crazy this is like 5 minutes from my parents house!
Guy being a dork as usual
Our newest little reader decided to read the whole brochure to us at every marker along the trail
He did a great job informing us about the plants and various trees in the area
And my family was nice enough to act really interested :)
Everyone except the honeymooners and Guy, the photographer of the shot
Oh and Ty who rarely cooperates for a picture. We just let him do his own thing :)
My dad spotted these wooden boards high up on the mountain and we wondered if it was maybe where an old mine entrance was. Sooo, Guy, Melissa, Jason Kyle and BB decided to climb up and see.
And it was a looong, steep way up.
I tried really hard to not be the paranoid mom letting my 5 year old do this.
It was hard, but I guess I need to get used to it with 3 boys!
Guy carried BB on his back for some of it and then he started letting him climb on his own
They made it!
And yes it was an old mine entrance
Going down was really crazy. I'm glad they all made it ok!
Hanging out with Aunt Melissa and watching movies. She's the BEST!
And a happy surprise right before we left. SNOW! For my little Florida boys it was heaven to play in it. They had no snow clothes at all (we'll be needing those in Denver for the first time ever), but still managed to stay out there and play for as long as they could before they were frozen.
My parents have a trampoline in the ground in their yard and it was pretty funny when Ty went running across the yard over the snow covered tramp, not knowing it was there. His expression was priceless! And I loved when they decided to have a snowball fight with each other and Brayden threw the first one as hard as he could right in Ty's face! So glad I got all of that awesomeness on video cause it was pretty funny.
I love this boy!
