A little bit of Utah

I didn't take many pictures of our trip which is sad. I just kept forgetting to get the darn camera out, but we had a great time and it was so nice to be able to see everyone.  Guy and I were only out there for a short time after the wedding because we spent 5 days in Denver looking for houses while my family watched our boys.  Which thanks a million everyone because looking for houses with 3 boys would have been my worst nightmare coming true! I don't know how we would have done it.
So on to our trip....We, of course, had a delay during our layover in Denver on our way to Utah. That is like a death sentence when you have 3 boys who are already difficult to keep entertained on such a long flight. Tampa to Denver to SLC is sooo long. I hate flying and I know it probably sounds ridiculous when I say I think I'd rather drive, but it's true! We are immune to our kids screaming and crying in the car.  On the airplane...not so much. Tyler had a drama episode on the flight from Tampa to Denver where he was just was out of control.  It's a 4 hour flight so I semi could understand cause I wanted off that plane too, but it was not a pretty 10 minutes. The worst part was we were sitting in the very last row of the plane by the bathrooms, so the whole line up of people waiting to use them just sat and watched as I tried to calm/bribe/threaten my child to be good. It was awesome!

Anyways, during our layover we found this awesome secret in the Denver terminal. We randomly just went up an escalator and there was this whole huge empty floor with nothing up there except for some offices.  Honestly it was amazing because our boys could just run around and blow off steam and we didn't have to worry about disturbing anyone. We spread out and just chilled and it was awesome. So if you ever have a layover in Denver look for the escalators by the food court (under the giant hanging plane) and go up them.  It's a happy place up there :)
I only took a few pictures from Kel's wedding
Haha another photo of BB and Kelly...
you can tell he is our only child that cooperates!
We went on a short hike up the canyon by my parents house the day after the wedding and it was soo gorgeous. I was honestly amazed by the mountains since it's been a long time since I've seen any.  Utah really is a pretty state and it's crazy this is like 5 minutes from my parents house!
Guy being a dork as usual
Our newest little reader decided to read the whole brochure to us at every marker along the trail
He did a great job informing us about the plants and various trees in the area
And my family was nice enough to act really interested :)
Everyone except the honeymooners and Guy, the photographer of the shot
Oh and Ty who rarely cooperates for a picture. We just let him do his own thing :)
My dad spotted these wooden boards high up on the mountain and we wondered if it was maybe where an old mine entrance was. Sooo, Guy, Melissa, Jason Kyle and BB decided to climb up and see.
And it was a looong, steep way up.
I tried really hard to not be the paranoid mom letting my 5 year old do this.
It was hard, but I guess I need to get used to it with 3 boys!
Guy carried BB on his back for some of it and then he started letting him climb on his own
 They made it!
And yes it was an old mine entrance
Going down was really crazy. I'm glad they all made it ok!
Hanging out with Aunt Melissa and watching movies. She's the BEST!
And a happy surprise right before we left. SNOW! For my little Florida boys it was heaven to play in it. They had no snow clothes at all (we'll be needing those in Denver for the first time ever), but still managed to stay out there and play for as long as they could before they were frozen.

My parents have a trampoline in the ground in their yard and it was pretty funny when Ty went running across the yard over the snow covered tramp, not knowing it was there. His expression was priceless! And I loved when they decided to have a snowball fight with each other and Brayden threw the first one as hard as he could right in Ty's face! So glad I got all of that awesomeness on video cause it was pretty funny.
I love this boy!

Kelly LINDSAY is her name!

My little Kel Bel got married the beginning of March. It still seems SO crazy to me that she is married, but it really was such a special day and we are beyond happy for her and JT.  I am so grateful we were able to go out to Utah and share the day with them. I did pretty good not crying through their sealing until it was time to go give them a hug after and then I broke down. It meant soo much to me to be there for that and it was just a special moment for me to hug my little sister in the temple. I will never forget it!

Kelly honestly looked so beautiful, like a princess! I have never in my life seen her so happy and I'm so glad that JT saw how special she is and loves her as much as we do.  I only met him 2 days before their wedding, but I knew right away that he was just a good guy and that they were a perfect fit.  And I'm excited to get to know him better as time goes on...at least we'll be a little closer now so we can see them more.  Congrats you two, we sure love ya!
Guy's sister Melissa at Moxieshots Photography took the pictures and they pretty much turned out AMAZING. Honestly if you need a photographer for anything in UT give her a call. My parents comment almost every day how glad they are that they used her for the wedding and I totally agree.  So GO Missy!! :) You can look on her blog to see more, but I just picked out a few to share since I didn't take many pictures at the wedding...chasing after 2 boys and carrying around 1 just about did me in!
This is my favorite... Brady looks so grown up next to Princess Kelly

Mini BB

They seriously look SO much alike. They both even have the same mark on the top of their noses!

We are moving to....

 DENVER COLORADO

We are pretty excited about it and spent the last week in Denver looking for places to live.  I loved the area so much and seriously can't wait to move there and be closer to family ( at least the same time zone as mine and only an hour off from Guy's parents). Guy has already started work there so he will travel home on the weekends until we move. Brayden will stay in school until the end of March and then we'll head out sometime in April once we get things figured out.

Pretty crazy, but I'm so grateful for the way things have fallen into place in our life right now. When we were in Denver it just felt right, like it was where we are supposed to be. And Guy is really liking Layton so far so hopefully that continues and he likes his job. He will be the project manager on a hospital renovation in downtown Denver, but we are living about 20-30 minutes outside of denver in the burbs. The area seems great and I am excited for the mountains and new places to explore!

It's 88 here in Tampa today and the humidity is awful. SOOO excited to leave the humidity! But I did get kind of sentimental today dropping Brayden off at school. He is feeling kind of sad to leave behind some of his friends at school, so it's tough for him. And I think I will miss certain things in Florida. The winters for sure and having the ocean so close. And I really do love all the wildlife here and the palm trees. And of course just all the memories you make when you live somewhere for awhile. But we're replacing them with new memories, new friends, and mountains which we are so excited to live by. Guy is already planning lots of hikes and camping trips in the future which I think is just perfect for a family of boys!

Still nothing!

Well Monday came and went with no word on where we'll be headed. I was right! They said Wednesday and it's now almost 4 pm and we still haven't heard a word so I'm not counting on anything. Guess we'll just keep waiting and "pretending" like we aren't moving so we don't stress about it :) What a crazy life!

Bullets of Sand

We tried going to the beach today. It was kind of windy, but 80 degrees so we though it would be fun. So we drove to Clearwater and found the spot at the beach we wanted to go. It was a longer walk from the parking lot to the ocean, but it was much more secluded then the main part of Clearwater.

Well, 30 minutes later we had finally gathered all our stuff from the car and managed to carry it and get all three of our kids down to our spot by the water. We had an umbrella, 3 chairs, 2 sand buckets of toys, 4 towels, 2 bags of stuff and a small cooler not to mention a baby carrier with a baby inside.  It is a process, let me tell you!

Well we lasted about 5 minutes at the beach.

The wind was SO strong by the water that it would blow the sand up so hard and it would feel like bullets against our skin. It was awful! The boys tried playing in the sand under their towels (which was pretty funny), but we gave up and packed up our stuff to go home. Yes, all that work for 5 minutes.

On the way back we wrapped towels around Brady and Ty and sent them walking ahead while we gathered up all our junk. They didn't make it far before both of them were on the ground huddled in a ball, crying with towels flying in the wind.  Trust me, I totally understood their pain, but I honestly could not stop laughing at the craziness of this moment.

All three kids crying
Sand EVERYWHERE
Our stuff blowing away
Me laughing and trying to carry Ty and one bag
Guy being a beast and carrying everything else

You probably had to be there, but it was funny.
We got in the car, covered in sand and just laughed.

So note to self for the future, wind plus a sandy beach is just not a fun combination!

The suspense continues...

Yes, we still don't know where we are moving. It's going on 3 weeks now since Guy quit with Bovis and switched to Layton. 3 whole weeks of waiting!

Every time it's the day we are "supposed" to find out, they seem to push it back a few days.  So now we are supposed to hear next Monday. And I'm sure Monday will come and it will all of a sudden be Wednesday and then maybe Friday. At some point they are going to have to tell us, I assume!

It's a weird feeling to know you are moving so soon but not know where. Moving takes so much planning and preparing (especially with a kid in school) so this sitting around doing nothing seems so weird. I feel like I should be looking up houses online or packing up boxes or something.  Since the company will pack us up and move us there is really no point in doing it ourselves, especially since I know they will do a waaay better job. And how do you look up houses online when you don't even know what state to type into craigslist? Makes it kind of tough!

But hey, when else will Guy get paid to sit at home and play with us all day. I am seriously not complaining too much because it's amazing having him home every day. It's like the weekend that never ends!

So hopefully next week will be the week, but who really knows anymore!
