The Rest of July

After coming home from our 4th of July adventure, we found a nice little post it note on our door. Turns out it was from our the owner of the house we were renting and it said that we needed to move out of the house in 30 days. Ya I died. Apparently he was going to let his ex-wife was move into the house so we had to go. I had a few breakdowns, mostly about packing up and moving again because we do it so often. Also it was a really hard time to find a new place to move into. Places go really fast in the summer here! So Guy sent me to Utah and told me he would figure it out. What a good husband huh.  I took the boys and stayed at my parents house in Utah and he stayed here and packed up our stuff and put it into storage. So many of the nearby storage units were full so we had to split our stuff up into 3 of them, so crazy.  Basically this summer was my worst nightmare...but we had fun in Utah at least. It's always fun to spend time with family :) Here's a few pics I took, I didn't take very many apparently.
Brady was so excited that Eddie would sleep next to him on the bed at night. It was pretty cute/

Ryan dipping his chicken nuggets in a frosty at Wendys. We were dying, but he loved it.
Ryan is so funny. If you tickle or rub him he will lay completely still, like he's in a trance. It totally calms him down and he will stay there forever. My sister Melissa was using her brush to rub him and he was in heaven haha.
We went to the Hogle Zoo one day with Kyle and Melissa. Always a good time, I love hanging out with them!
Having fun at a little carnival
We were bored one day so we went to a llama festival in Spanish Fork at the Krishna Temple. Totally random and kinda weird, but that's what we do when we are bored. The weirdest things we can find in Utah.
Brady went golfing with all the big boys...Kyle, Guy and JT. He thought it was awesome that Dad let him drive the golf cart.  I have a video of it, he was a crazy driver!

All in all, it was a great trip. We also went to lagoon, had a few barbecues, drove up the canyon by my parents house, etc. I wasn't great at taking pictures!

4th of July in Vail

Since fireworks were canceled in Highlands Ranch because of all the fires this year, we tried to find somewhere we could go to see them. So we decided to go to Vail, since we had never been in the summer and it would be a nice little getaway as a family.  We started out our trip watching the cute little parade they have there. It was really fun, but too spaced out so we ended up leaving before it was over. Next time we need to find seats in the shade!
Waiting for the parade to start
These 2 are huge parade fans
This one...not so much. Ty hates parades! Every year he asks us when it will be over after like 5 minutes. This year he just fell asleep in the stroller :)
This year was Vail's 50th anniversary so it was a big party!
Ryan was so tired after the parade that he fell asleep in the hiking pack. Poor kid, naps on the go!
We found the cutest, most festive older couple in the world. They were so much fun!
Our balcony where we were staying. It was awesome!
The boys did a little swimming while Ryan took a nap with me. Ty loved the squiggly pool noodles there.
Ryan having fun on a playground
Cute brothers
We went on a drive to check out all the mansion houses and I fell in love with all these bright colorful flowers at one house. Seriously that would make me so happy to have a yard like that!
And a random fox ran past our car when we driving up there. The boys thought it was the best thing ever.
Hanging out in the hotel room...Ty is not happy that BB has the iPad.
On our way to watch fireworks. The boys were SO excited!
Minus the waiting part. I think that is why Ty doesn't love the 4th of July. Too much waiting he says. I get that.
Brady played cards with dad while they waited. I didn't get any picture of the show, we were too  busy enjoying it!
On our drive home from Vail, we stopped at an old train museum. We totally got in trouble there because we didn't see the signs saying you couldn't climb on it. The guy came out furious and got so mad at us and we felt really bad but they had one sign that was on a column facing the other way. It was easy to miss. Oops!
All in all, it was a great, low key fourth of July. It was actually kind of fun going away for it and we made lots of memories as a family. Definitely a fun trip!
